The festival gives a limited number of comps every year to venues, charities, radio stations, local school and community programs etc. In turn, these entities often use them as premiums for a donation or in a raffle, some simply give them away to their volunteers. All comps have a handwritten tracking code and the imprinted tix numbers are recorded in a dbase.
Please do NOT buy or sell comps. This undermines the fest and the org using them. And, of course, steps are taken whenever someone is caught trying to scalp comps. It is considered scalping.
Buyers beware. It's not that common but does happen once or twice almost every year.
