I'm torn.

I really enjoyed volunteering. I met some wonderful folks on the front gate crew. Pam and Anne are just wonderful, they made me feel welcome and useful right away and both have such a wonderful disposition in general.

That being said, I hated having to watch a clock on my vacation. For instance, when I was at the beach last week, most days I never knew what time it was unless my tummy was grumbling or my eyelids were growing heavy.

So I am torn as what to do.

I have considered doing a one year on, one year off sort of thing.

However, now with the talk of the festival going down to 3 days, I may not want to volunteer if my time at the Fest is going to have be shortened by one day of the fest and 1-2 days of camping...In which case I will happily be a paying customer which I am sure the festival needs just as much as a volunteer. :-)

Some of the amenities are nice, the separate port-o-pots and showers, and the food tent...Though I didn't take as much advantage of the food tent as I could have...And I really didn't appreciate the one volunteer who gave me the third degree when I was leaving with my breakfast one morning. He thought perhaps I was taking food to someone who wasn't a volunteer when the case was my partner was only there for the first half of the festival and I didn't want to waste any precious time with her sitting alone eating...
