Question about volunteer t-shirts

Hi all,
I was wondering if it's possible to send in an application without the t-shirt money - to pay for the shirt at check in, or maybe three weeks or so before, sent separately. I'm out of the country right now with no access to check or money order, and with only euros at my disposal, but I don't want to wait until I get back to send in my application. I've had no answer from the volunteer e-mail address. Anyone done this before?
