'Damage' To the Dodd Farm??

Does anyone else have any inkling that one of the issues with which Anne and Howard are having to deal pertains to the 'damage' that the weather and festival traffic are causing to the Dodd Farm??

Anne told us that the Dodds want to continue the festival next year, so if damage was an issue it's not an insurmountable one.

Perhaps....but SOMETIMES folks aren't always forthcoming as to what the REAL issues are.....my experience, anyway.

i had heard that the dodds were encouraging anne to bring back the festival. but i am sure brian knows much better what goes on in the minds of people he does not know at all. it is a gift he has. if only he would use his gifts to run his own folk festival in an absolutely perfect way.

Ya know, john, I was hopin' to get to the GFP this year, so that we could introduce ourselves....it HAD appeared as though we were achieving a meeting of the minds, for a while there, anyway. I guess I'm kinda glad that thangs intervened.

Brian, I am wondering if you have nightmares......because most of the
stuff you post on this board can only be realized during the unconscious
state of mind.

As I have indicated on another thread....the owners of FRFF make
informed business decisions as they have for the past 20 years. They
didn't have or need your advice 20 years ago and they sure don't need
it now.....

Why not take a break, sit back and stop starting meaningless threads.

There is nothing wrong with you however your "possible" realizations of
Brian's ability is only a myth.

What we really have here is a severe case of ignorance which only shows
up with symptoms in front of a keyboard. The symptoms are
compounded when the keyboard is used posts messages here.

Relax John.......you will be around long enough to see there is no cure for
ignorance.

This is my first time reading this forum in a long time, and I think it will be the last. I can't remember the last time I saw so much petty bickering! And to think that it centers around FRFF.

You guys really need to take a deep breath and relax a little. Maybe read a book, or, I don't know...listen to some folk music?

I agree. A lot of the dialogue that takes place on this board doesn't accurately reflect the spirit of Falcon Ridge I have experienced at all.
It would be a shame if people not familiar with the festival dropped by and after reading some of these posts decided not to attend based on what they read here.

Relax young one, it's mostly harmless. There is much back history on the boards and at times it gets deep. People have been *spoken to* by ADMIN when things get out of hand. I, for one, ignore certain posters or threads.
I used to be disgusted, but now I'm just amused.

My comment was not directed specifically to you, TFF, but since you brought it up it does seem that many of the discussion threads that become increasingly bitter do involve something you have written. I’m sure your heart is in the right place, TFF, but your manner of expressing yourself frequently comes across as very negative, contrary, abrasive and occasionally cruel. It puts people on the defensive and creates a very hostile environment on the board. I think some people are afraid to add to the discussion threads because they do not want what they contribute to be subject to some sort of attack. We could all be missing out on getting to know some really interesting people and hearing what they have to say. Couldn’t you tone it down just a bit to make the environment on the board a little more welcoming to current and potential new FRFF lifers? Falcon Ridge is such a wonderful, positive community of people but you wouldn’t know that from visiting the forum. You’re trying so hard to help make people’s experience of FRFF better….this is one thing you can do right now that would make it better right away.
