Stopping by to say hello

Postby Lianne » Fri Aug 29, 2008 1:47 pm

This year was my first festival. My 9 year old son and I traveled with my 79 year old Father. Mom and Dad had been coming for years, and with Mom's recent passing I felt the need to "take a muddy walk in her shoes". The night before we set out to travel, I fell and broke my elbow and arm. Just weeks before this, my little one had broken his foot and was already in a cast. What a sight both he and I made, wandering around as the walking wounded! The atmosphere, the friendliness, the dancers, the car in the creek? and oh yes the great food, are now all wonderful memories. I hope to make the trip again next year......minus the casts and slings.

Yup! ..... Howdy! If you were a performer I'd say "Break A Leg" or might that be a bit anti-climatic ...... Geez!!!
