Are volunteers still needed for the Fest?

Postby dogsanddrama » Thu Jul 09, 2009 3:50 am

Hello All,

I've been going to Falcon Ridge for 11 years and will be going solo this year. I was wondering if volunteers were still needed for this year's festival, does anyone know? I'm going to send in an application just in case.

I have already heard back from Barbara. Volunteers are still needed and she has assigned me to Check In. So happy to join the family!

More volunteer questions

So, I will be volunteering this year, am working "Check In" and my volunteer packet says to report to Check-In at 9am on Wednesday.
Does that mean I should show up to camp on Tuesday night? I wasn't sure because I don't think I'm exactly part of the Early Crew. Does anyone know what Check In entails exactly, is it checking in other volunteers and/or peformers? 9 More days if that's the case! Can't wait!

You're going to LOVE check-in -- I spent my first 8 years as a volunteer there with Barbara and the rest.

Your tasks will mostly revolve around checking in --wristband, name check, t-shirts, parking passes, etc. -- anyone who does NOT have a ticket to come into the festival, but should be given access. This includes vendors, performers, press, and volunteers. Ticket winners are always fun to deal with -- they're just so happy and grateful to be there.

Not sure on the camping issue, but honestly, and especially because regular patron camping begins wednesday as well, if you've got a 9 a.m. shift, I'd come the evening before and set up. We'll be at the white picket fence in volunteer camping if you want to stop in and say hi.
