I know I should probably be more relaxed and just have faith (but that is soooo not my personality)...

FRFF is two weeks away, and I'm nervous... ::takes deep breath::

I understand you being worried but I really think they're just running a bit behind. If other people had received their packets you might have a cause to worry but I don't think anyone has got them yet. I haven't. I'll post here as soon as mine arrives....then you can either phone or email Barbara to follow up and make sure they have you on the list.

I can totally relate to your anxiety, though. I love volunteering and it's such a DEAL!! (free admission, free food and a chance to make friends and be a part of the whole experience --- can't beat that!!) I can never understand how there can be ANY vacancies.

Yay!! (Now all you have to worry about is the weather. )

Figures. I'm the one telling everybody else not to worry....and I STILL haven't got my package. :sigh: Does it really say that we're supposed to be there by 9 am Wednesday?? I was figuring on getting in sometime in the early/mid afternoon.

It says that volunteers can "start" checking in at 9am.

My thing is at work, I'll check and pm you the details...

My green sheet says to report by Wednesday, 9am SHARP.
Since I'm working Check-In, I'm assuming that means so that I can start checking in other volunteers starting at 9am.

I'm still trying to decide if I will head out there late on Tuesday night
(might end up camping the night in the parking lot) or heading down at the crack of dawn on Wednesday AM.

Mine says volunteer check in is from 9am to 12pm on Wed, and my crew's first meeting is at 6pm. The mandatory all-volunteer meeting is listed for 7pm on Wed.

Camping for Volunteers

Postby joani218 » Fri Jul 17, 2009 1:35 am

I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm volunteering in the kids' tent this festival (my first time volunteering). I'm camping with my parents and am trying to figure out when we can set up camp. I know I can check in at 9 on Wednesday but do I have to wait for general camping to open up before we can set up the family trailer? Thanks!

Well, I'm curious. first-timers. Now that it's all over, how was the volunteer experience for you? What were the highs? The lows? Would you do it again?
