No mid-winter specials this year? :-(

i usually buy some for people who otherwise would not be able to afford to attend.

would you settle for a one-way plane ticket to Ulaanbaatar on July 24 instead? :)

Do you mean Ulan Bator?? Make it a round-trip tikket for late September...I understand that they have a wild BatorberFest. Besides, it would gimme a chance to reunite with my buddy Genghis.

on the origional topic side- I also was waiting for the mid winter special- and was kinda bummed with no announcement of them- or even no announcement concerning them- since they were available at least the last few years.

thanks for at least bringing it up-

I think this year's announcement was the same as in previous years, ie., if you were on the email list, you got the announcement. And, of course, there was the additional announcement having been made here on the forum.

But THEN, there was the difficulty of 'getting through'....seventy-five minutes of busy signals....I was beginning to regret having forwarded the email announcement to friends (presumably) not on the list. The thought occurred to me that it might be easier to win tickets on the radio. But all is well....I guess.

Kudos to Anne for her hard work.

MOST DEFINITELY Kudos to Anne for what must have been one heck of a day :!: I also tried for quite a while, and the phone was busy. I can only imagine the amount of calls they took. I got our tickets, and will be like a kid waiting for Christmas from now until the fest.
THANK YOU, ANNE, FOR ALL YOU DO!!
See you all there :D

Got ours Sunday afternoon with no wait but Anne said there were only a few camping tickets left, so we cut it a little close. It was nice to visualize sitting in the sun at the Fest 8) while shivering in our old drafty house.
